Meerut, Uttar Pradesh 2025 Renowned novelist and academician Professor Vikas Sharma, has achieved extraordinary acclaim in the literary and scholarly world within a remarkably short span of five years. With an impressive portfolio of eleven English novels and one Hindi novel, Raah KePatthar, Professor Sharma has established himself as a prolific storyteller and a leading voice in contemporary literature.
His celebrated English novels include Love’s Not Time’s Fool ,I.A.S Today, Medicine: Light in Twilight, 498A: Fears and Dreams, Hope Against Hope, Ashes and Fire, Ideas and Events, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, SANA, Media Revolution 2030, and Love and Ego. These works showcase his versatility, tackling themes ranging from romance and societal challenges to futuristic visions and human psychology. Beyond fiction, Professor Sharma is a distinguished scholar in literary criticism, with five widely referenced books: Treatment of History in Indian English Novels, Romantic Sensibility : in the Prose Works, Essays and Journals of Emerson and Thoreau, Female Gaze in Bollywood, Novel as an Art Form & Six Major Poets . These works are incorporated into the undergraduate and postgraduate syllabi of numerous universities, reflecting his influence in shaping academic discourse. Over fifty ongoing Ph.D. projects focus on his oeuvre, and six reference books and two authored books have been published about his novels, underscoring his scholarly significance.
Currently, Professor Sharma serves as the General Secretary of The Association for English Studies of India (AESI) and as a Professor in the Department of English at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (U.P.). His contributions to academic world are profound, with over sixty research papers published in esteemed journals and the successful supervision of twenty-six Ph.D. scholars. He is also a member of the editorial boards of three prestigious journals, further emphasizing his dedication to advancing knowledge in his field.
